Dear Member

Those of you who attended the AGM will know, The Resolution to proceed with the process of applying to the Scottish Land Fund for a grant to purchase the premises at 60 High Street was passed unanimously by those attending that meeting. Thanks to Jo’s full explanation of the reasons and motivations for applying for the Scottish Land Fund grant to purchase the premises.

We are now circulating the new Rules that will govern the Dunbar Community Bakery (Community Benefit Society) and we need to have your approval for the governing document. This sounds very formal, but the document (see below) is very readable. It will give you information about how we operate, and your rights as a Member.

Please help the committee by replying to this email by return, simply saying “I accept the new rules for DCB”. This will allow us to move on to the next exciting phase of development – designing a programme for potential apprentices, and fund-raising for our contribution of £5.5k to the purchase.
