Since our last newsletter and AGM we’ve been busy putting our communication and management systems in order.
The website has been tidied up and we are now ready to launch the crowd funding campaign. You may have noticed the poster in the window, and we are really heartened by the generous response from our customers.
With improved systems in place we can start to work on our application to the Scottish Land Fund. Our application will succeed if we can show strong community support and encourage new shareholders.
The High Street is at the heart of our community. All the traders are Local Heroes, but the Bakery belongs to the community. If we can buy the premises, we will be more secure and able to take on new apprentices. If the shop were to be sold in the future, the proceeds would be ploughed into community benefit.
Every contribution will help to achieve our target of £10k and a brighter future for the Bakery, our apprentices and the High Street.
